Teachers will be
attending a paid union meeting today on the 20 June. As a result the school will be
closed from 1.30pm so they can attend. We ask for you to please pick up your
children at 1.30 during big play as all of our teachers will be off site at the
meeting to negotiate better working conditions with the New Zealand Educational
Institute (NZEI).

This Monday and next I will be holding two workshops around the reading tips of pause, prompt, praise for parents from 3.15 – 4pm in the school library. The workshops are video led and non threatening. Questions are welcomed. The videos give parents really useful tips so they can support their children at home constructively in the area of reading. Everyone is welcome.
